The statistics to show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident within the first two years of passing their test. This is obviously a risk for new drivers and other road users and because of this, insurance premiums for new drivers are normally more expensive.

The course consists of 6 one-hour practical modules. Each driving lesson covers a different area such as;  Night driving Dual carriageways Motorways Difficult terrain Adverse weather conditions .

To complete Pass Plus there is no final test and driving will be continually assessed throughout.  

All modules must be passed to an achieved or exceeded standard and each module must be signed off by the driving instructor.  

Each student must also complete the Pass Plus course Progress Record and Training Report Form.  

When can I do it? Pass Plus can be taken within the first 12 months of passing your driving test. 

How do I get the Certificate? The Progress Record and Training Report Form must be sent to the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) who will then issue the Pass Plus Certificate. After successful completion DVSA will send you a certificate for Pass Plus Course
